Land Rover launched their first plug-in hybrid model in Range Rover Sport called the P400e

When you use Land Rover P400e its electric power will not be immediately responding. All of the Range Rover Sport models that have a new lower,sportier attitude with modern front rear bumpers. Parallel hybrid will be the default mode. In this model Range Rover Sport will automatically shift between the electric and combustion engine to male the journey comfortable.

Save mode offers the driver to select the level of battery charge that p400e is not to drop below. In this mode a combustion engine is also used and battery power can be saved for a later stage in the journey.

Predictive Energy Optimization can be used in combination with a navigation system. Just enter the destination, the car automatically works out when it would choose the best possible path and make sure it has the least emissions for the journey.

EV mode is best for short journeys so it only works with battery power being used creating zero emissions.

At the engine side, they offer 2.0 litre 300 hp Si4 Ingenium petrol engine and with a combination of 85 KW electric motor which uses 13 Kwh capacity battery. The genuine electric range of Range Rover Sport P400e is 31 miles, with combustion engine and battery range is 101 miles. Highest speed is 137 mph can be attained and takes just 6.3 seconds to reach 0 to 60 mph.


Battery will need to be charged and you can easily charge from a domestic socket at home with standard charging cable supplied with the vehicle. It takes 7.5 hours to charge. Furthermore, charging cables can be bought for use with home boxes, it can be fixed by engineers at home to decrease the charging time to 2.5 hours.
Range Rover Sport P400e will be available in different makes, the initial level HSE, mid-level HSE dynamic and the best one autobiography dynamic. All makes will come with Anti-lock brakes, warning for lane departure , cruise control with speed limiter, rear view camera as standard.
